The cryptocurrency market has been turbulent lately, but Ethereum staking is defying the trend, hitting record highs even as prices fall. This unexpected rise in staking has drawn the attention of investors and analysts. 
Currently, Ethereum (ETH) is valued at $2,489, a sharp 25.05% drop in the last week, according to <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">CoinMarketCap</a>. However, the percentage of staked Ethereum has reached an unprecedented 27.95%. This is a significant increase from two weeks ago when it dipped slightly from 27.58% to 26.82% on July 21.

This growth in Ethereum staking appears to be independent of its price fluctuations. This pattern is similar to Bitcoin’s network transaction counts, suggesting a deeper investor confidence in Ethereum’s long-term staking benefits. Since the launch of Ethereum ETFs, the proportion of ETH staked has grown by about 1.9%, indicating strong faith in staking as a future strategy.

The liquid restaking sector has seen even more dramatic growth. Its TVL has surged from $1.34 billion at the beginning of the year to $18.65 billion today, marking an incredible 1,200% increase. This sharp rise demonstrates the expanding interest and participation in Ethereum staking and restaking. 
A standout in the liquid staking sector is <a href="https://www.eigenlayer.xyz/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Eigenlayer</a>. Since January 2024, Eigenlayer’s TVL has soared from $1.4 billion to $15.97 billion in July, a more than tenfold increase. This rapid growth highlights the strong appeal of Ethereum staking platforms to investors.
