The broader crypto market also experienced substantial liquidations, exceeding $1 billion, driven by a significant number of bullish bets being wiped out during the recent crash in both crypto and stock markets. Data from Coinglass <a href="https://www.coinglass.com/LiquidationData" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">indicated</a> that crypto liquidations surged by over 199% in 24 hours. Notably, August 5 recorded the highest trading volume since March, when Bitcoin led the market to a new all-time high.
