NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen stepped up his efforts to advance his Ethereum project in an attempt to restore faith after analysts and observers of cryptocurrency pointed out dubious conduct with the token.

The project, which aims to represent real-world assets, has been criticized for its dubious connections. Crypto sleuth ZachXBT highlighted that the deployer address of the BALL token closely resembles a wallet used in at least two previous scams, commonly referred to as rug pulls in the web3 space. 
Additionally, Pippen’s prior NFT venture in 2022 was also labeled as a failed rug pull, further raising concerns about his involvement in the crypto space. 
The situation escalated when information surfaced indicating Pippen and the developer wallet carried out a transaction that involved the dump of $330,000 worth of BALL tokens. 
In response to this scrutiny, Pippen stated that 103 Ether (ETH) was withdrawn from the liquidity pool to “mitigate attacks,” but this explanation did little to quell the doubts from the crypto community.

The tendency of celebrities to become involved with cryptocurrency is still there despite the ongoing debate, although there have been a lot of failed attempts. 
About thirty celebrity memecoins made their debut on the Solana blockchain last month. The majority of them failed soon after its introduction, which aggravated impacted consumers and stoked criticism of prominent people becoming involved in cryptocurrency initiatives.
