Dubai, UAE, July 30, 2024 — Trust Wallet, the world’s leading self-custody Web3 wallet and Web3 gateway, with over 100 million users has integrated The Open Network (TON), a community-driven, decentralized blockchain leveraging Telegram. TON enables the creation of mini-apps, GameFi and DeFi applications on the blockchain, broadening opportunities for Web3 enthusiasts.
Through this partnership, Trust Wallet and TON aim to bring millions of new users to Web3 by focusing on GameFi, particularly Tap-to-Earn initiatives.
As of today, Trust Wallet's 100+ million users can now send and receive TON ecosystem tokens, and support for importing a TONKeeper wallet into Trust Wallet will be available in the coming weeks. Additionally, TON Connect and TON dApps will be integrated into Trust Wallet in the coming months. This enhancement will enable Trust Wallet users to directly link their wallets to Telegram, facilitating a seamless experience while playing Tap-to-Earn games.
Trust Wallet has achieved significant success with its Tap-to-Earn initiatives, launching multiple campaigns with leading mini-apps and games. The latest campaign resulted in over 1 million downloads in less than two weeks.
Trust Wallet's reputation as an easy-to-use, secure wallet with support for over 120 blockchains, paired with the popularity of TON and the accessibility and simplicity of Tap-to-Earn games will not only bring new users to the Web3 ecosystem but also encourage Web3 natives to participate in upcoming efforts from this partnership.
On the integration of TON, Nate Zou, Head of Product at Trust Wallet said, “As the leading multi-chain wallet, integrating TON into Trust Wallet was a natural progression, and only a matter of time. Our values have always been aligned with TON’s community-driven and user-friendly approach. Through this partnership, we’ve enhanced our cross-chain, cross ecosystem interoperability, with a goal of empowering the TON community to easily and securely move their assets in the world of Web3. We believe this partnership is a perfect match and look forward to the opportunities it will bring.”
Trust Wallet and TON will host an AMA session on X, on August 5th 2024, discussing the future of the partnership and upcoming feature launches. About Trust Wallet
