<p style="text-align: justify">Once known as “zombie companies,” Metaplanet and <strong>Semler Scientific</strong> were struggling to survive on the brink of bankruptcy. Zombie companies earn just enough to pay their debts but lack the capital necessary for growth.</p>

This strategic move led to a 40% increase in Semler Scientific’s stock price.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Metaplanet’s story reflects a similar transformation. CEO Simon Gerovich described the struggle to eliminate the company’s debt burden and clean up the balance sheet. The fate of Metaplanet changed when a Japanese investment firm recognized Bitcoin’s potential to strengthen the balance sheet and mitigate the depreciation of the Japanese yen. Since the first Bitcoin purchase on April 23, Metaplanet’s stock price has increased by 980%.</p>

They believe that without Saylor’s pioneering efforts, it would have been much more difficult for other companies to include Bitcoin in their treasuries.</p>
