What is eTukTuk?

eTukTuk is a project that aims to realize eco-friendly transportation infrastructure in developing countries.

For example, in Sri Lanka, where the eTukTuk project is focusing, more than 1.2 million TukTuks are used as a means of transportation. However, this TukTuk, which requires fossil fuels, is causing serious environmental pollution. Therefore, the Sri Lankan government is promoting the introduction of TukTuk using EVs, that is, eTukTuk.

In this situation, the eTukTuk project was launched and is developing a platform that integrates the operation, management, and payment of eTukTuk by utilizing Cardano’s blockchain technology. And the project issues its own $TUK token, which is used for transactions and rewards within the platform.

Presale raises over $3.5 million

The eTukTuk project is currently building cooperative relationships with the Sri Lankan government and local transport agencies. With this track record as a backdrop, the presale, an early stage of fundraising, has been well-received and has attracted the interest of many investors.

As a result, the amount raised has now exceeded $3.5 million. An active community continues to be formed through social media such as Telegram and X (Twitter).

As part of the eTukTuk ecosystem, the eTukTuk project launched a Play-To-Earn (P2E) game called “TukTribe” on Tuesday, June 4th.

In this game, players can drive a virtual eTukTuk and earn rewards. At this time, $TUK tokens are provided as rewards, and players can trade the $TUK tokens earned in the game on real exchanges.

In addition, this Play-To-Earn game will promote the use of eTukTuk and will be an important factor in revitalizing the entire ecosystem, so players can directly contribute to environmental conservation around the world.

“TukTribe” can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play, and has already gained popularity with more than 3,000 downloads per week.

What is Play-To-Earn?

Play-To-Earn refers to a model in which you can earn real economic rewards by playing games. In traditional game models, even if players earn items and currency in the game, they do not have value in the real world. However, in Play-To-Earn games, players can earn virtual currency or NFTs (non-fungible tokens) through in-game activities and convert these into real monetary value.

In addition, many Play-To-Earn games are operated on the blockchain and use their own virtual currency or tokens. Players obtain these tokens through activities such as completing tasks in the game, winning battles, and trading items. The tokens acquired can be exchanged for other virtual currencies or fiat currencies on exchanges.

In addition, a feature of Play-To-Earn games is the use of NFTs. Players can own in-game characters and items as NFTs and sell them to other players or use them in other games. This creates true ownership and liquidity for game assets.

The future of eTukTuk

The eTukTuk project will begin in Sri Lanka and then aim to expand globally. There are more than 1.2 million registered TukTuks in Sri Lanka, and replacing all of these with eTukTuks is expected to have significant environmental and economic benefits. The eTukTuk project also aims to provide employment opportunities to local communities and contribute to economic development.

The future outlook for the eTukTuk project is bright, and it is expected to be innovative in balancing environmental protection and economic development through the spread of sustainable transportation. In addition, the introduction of game elements such as “TukTribe” can be expected to further engage users and expand the ecosystem.
