<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/marathon-digital-povyshaet-energoeffektivnost-s-pomoshhyu-majnerov-s19-xp/">Marathon Digital Holdings</a>, Inc. (NASDAQ: MARA) reported notable advancements in its Bitcoin mining operations for June 2024, highlighting a 2% month-over-month increase in average operational <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">hash rate</a> to 26.3 EH/s. The company produced 590 Bitcoin in June, a 4% decrease from May and a 40% drop from June 2023, mainly due to the April <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/heat-waves-and-halving-bitcoin-miners-cash-in-amid-rising-prices/">halving</a> event, according to <a href="https://ir.mara.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1361/mara-announces-bitcoin-production-and-mining-operation">Mara</a>. 
Fred Thiel, MARA’s chairman and CEO, credited operational improvements at the Ellendale facility for the increase in hash rate. The company's proprietary <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/">mining pool</a> captured 158 blocks, a 10% increase from last year. Transaction fees accounted for nearly 7% of the total Bitcoin produced, with one transaction alone generating 0.85 BTC in fees. 
MARA continues to enhance its mining operations with immersion cooling technology and the latest generation <a href="https://ultramining.com/hardware/">hardware</a>. The company remains on track to reach its goal of 50 EH/s by the end of 2024. Internationally, MARA launched a 2-megawatt pilot project in Finland to utilize recycled heat from digital asset computing, benefiting a community of 11,000 residents. 
As of June 30, 2024, MARA's Bitcoin holdings totaled 18,536 BTC, with a combined value of $1.4 billion. The company did not sell any Bitcoin in June but plans to sell a portion in future periods to support operations and manage its treasury.
