 <p>Deutsche Telekom MMS is joining Subsquid’s decentralized data lake. By operating dedicated worker nodes in Subsquid’s hyper-scalable platform, Deutsche Telekom MMS will improve the network&amp;#39;s resilience and scalability, and will help facilitate efficient data access for Web3 developers. It was also recently revealed at BTC Prague that&nbsp; Deutsche Telekom MMS plans to expand into Bitcoin mining.</p>

 <p><a href="https://x.com/mms_blockchain" target="_self" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><span>Deutsche Telekom MMS</span></a> has started operating dedicated worker nodes as part of <a href="https://subsquid.io/" target="_self" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><span>Subsquid’s</span></a> decentralized data lake, joining over 700 nodes managed by individuals and a number of corporate entities. These nodes are crucial to the Subsquid network as they respond to queries and deliver data from the data lake to consumers, including indexers, as quickly as possible.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Subsquid is a hyper-scalable, modular decentralized data platform that is designed to provide developers with the blockchain data access that is needed for building Web3 products. By running worker nodes, Deutsche Telekom MMS boosts the network&amp;#39;s resilience and scalability.</p>
 <p>According to Marcel Fohrmann, co-founder of Subsquid, &amp;quot;Deutsche Telekom running Subsquid worker nodes is a big deal: One of the world&amp;#39;s biggest and most trusted infrastructure providers will now be helping to strengthen and secure permissionless data access for use cases across Web3.&amp;quot;&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Deutsche Telekom MMS has been a leading contributor to many well known Web3 companies, running validators for blockchain protocols like Polygon, Ethereum, and Polkadot.</p>
 <h2 id="revolutionizing-blockchain-data-access">Revolutionizing Blockchain Data Access</h2>
 <p>In the fragmented Web3 landscape, developers face some challenges when it comes to accessing data from multiple layer-1 and layer-2 chains due to differing formats and access points. Traditionally, data retrieval has relied on centralized APIs or RPC nodes, plagued by high costs, long retrieval times, corrupted data, and security concerns.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Subsquid wants to revolutionize data retrieval with a fully decentralized stack. Worker nodes in its decentralized data lake serve developers&amp;#39; queries. The data is stored in a raw format, making it possible for people and businesses to retrieve the data in the format they prefer.</p>
 <p>During the testnet phase, more than 60,000 indexers were deployed, and since the mainnet launch on Jun. 3, more than 700 worker nodes have been activated, storing over 536 TB of data for peer-to-peer serving.</p>
 <p>Dirk Röder, Head of the Web3 Infrastructure &amp;amp; Solutions Team at Deutsche Telekom MMS, is very impressed with Subsquid’s data lake architecture for making blockchain data accessible and enhancing network security and scalability.</p>
 <h2 id="deutsche-telekom-to-begin-bitcoin-mining">Deutsche Telekom to Begin Bitcoin Mining</h2>
 <p>Meanwhile, Dirk Röder recently revealed at the <a href="https://x.com/BTCPrague?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor" target="_self" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><span>BTC Prague</span></a> event that the company has been operating a Bitcoin node since 2023. This is part of Deutsche Telekom’s broader strategy to integrate more deeply into the cryptocurrency space.</p>
 <p>In a moment of excitement, Röder hinted at the company&amp;#39;s future plans with a cryptic statement: “I like to let you in on a little secret . We will engage in digital monetary photosynthesis soon.” When pressed for details about whether this meant Deutsche Telekom would be mining Bitcoin, Röder confirmed, “We will.”</p>
 <p>By mining Bitcoin, the company is not only embracing the potential of blockchain technology but is also positioning itself as a key player in the digital monetary ecosystem.&nbsp;</p>
