<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">The number of crypto ATMs worldwide increased by 17.8% in the last 12 months, reaching 38,279 and nearing the record of 39,541 recorded in December 2022. According to Coin ATM Radar <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/ai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpel-link="exclude">data</a>, 2,564 new crypto ATMs were installed by 2024, indicating a positive trend compared to the net loss of 2,861 machines recorded in 2023.</p> 
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify" id="atm-installations-rise">ATM Installations Rise</h2> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">This development occurred every month between July 2023 and May 2024. Installations fell by 115 from May to June, but a strong recovery occurred in June with a net increase of 377.</p>

<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Bitcoin Depot, Coinflip, and Athena Bitcoin stand out as leading crypto ATM operators with 7,543, 5,057, and 2,756 machines, respectively. Bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency for transactions, while Bitcoin Cash, <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/ethereum-co-founders-wallet-makes-notable-exchange-deposit/" data-wpel-link="internal">Ethereum</a>, and Litecoin also stand out during this period.</p>

<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Over 82% of the world’s crypto ATMs are located in the United States, with Canada in second place at 7.7%. Australia has seen a significant increase in installations over the past two years, with the number of machines rising approximately 17-fold to 1,107. At the current installation rate, Australia is well-positioned to surpass Europe’s 1,584 ATMs.</p> 
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify" id="details-on-the-subject">Details on the Subject</h2> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Other countries with significant crypto ATM installations include Spain (313), Poland (279), El Salvador (215), Poland (211), Germany (177), and Hong Kong (169). Romania, Georgia, Switzerland, Austria, and New Zealand are other countries with over 100 ATMs. Crypto ATMs are present in 72 of the 193 countries recognized by the United Nations.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Between December 2022 and July 2023, installations experienced a significant net decrease, reaching an 18-month low of 32,764. Data from Coin ATM Radar shows that crypto ATM manufacturer BitAccess contributed to this decline, with net installations dropping by 26% from 9,160 in August 2022 to 6,774 in January 2024. However, since then, they have managed to increase the net installation count by 1,208.</p>
