In a post on X, he further explained that the altcoin is not drawing quite the institutional attention as Bitcoin (BTC), citing lower incentives and unimpressive network cash flows as a deterrent to the crypto asset’s growth.</p>
<p>It is a controversial take considering that the cryptocurrency has performed impressively in its reaction to Spot Ethereum ETF news, even surging by over 30% a day after the SEC approved the 19b-4 applications for ETF issuers.</p>
<p>Kang predicts that Spot <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/05/24/sec-greenlights-spot-ethereum-etfs-surging-eth-social-metrics/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum ETFs</a> will attract only 15% of the flows we’ve seen on Spot Bitcoin ETFs. Interestingly, this falls in the same range that Bloomberg analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas estimated.</p>
<p>However, it’s important to note that not everyone agrees with Kang’s prediction. Several experts expect the ETH price to react like <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin (BTC)</a> following Spot Bitcoin ETF approval. Therefore, the consensus believes the ETH price would be on pace for a new all-time high after Spot Ethereum ETFs hit the trading market.</p>
