<p>A Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) from <a href="https://www.franklintempleton.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Franklin Templeton</a> is one of ten that have received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Jenny Johnson, President and CEO of Franklin Templeton, stated that Bitcoin is just ‘one of a suite’ of blockchain opportunities that the company is exploring.&nbsp;</p>

Jenny Johnson shared insights from her global interactions, revealing why many people see Bitcoin as a protective measure.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Fearing asset confiscation, she recounted discussions with people who allocate a significant portion of their savings to <a href="https://bitcoin.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a>. She mentioned an Israeli who chose to keep some of their savings in Bitcoin because their family had previously experienced asset confiscation. This fear drives people to consider Bitcoin as both an insurance policy and a safety net.</p>
<p>The approval of Franklin Templeton’s Bitcoin ETF is expected to increase public access to the leading cryptocurrency. Johnson stated that these ETFs will make Bitcoin more accessible to a broader audience.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Johnson also believes there are a lot of opportunities in the blockchain space, which is a developing field.
