An at-home Bitcoin miner in Dallas, <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/texas-residents-challenge-bitcoin-mining-industrys-impact-on-power-grid-and-communities/">Texas</a>, has listed a unique 5,786 square-foot property for sale at $2.4 million. The residential house, which features an immersion-cooled data center, is being marketed as a "turn-key" Bitcoin mining facility. The property, previously owned by AT&amp;T, has been upgraded to a Tier 2 Data Center with full liquid cooling immersion, suitable for AI services, cloud <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-mining-reshaping-landscape-amid-global-interest-surge/">hosting</a>, traditional data center operations, servers, and Bitcoin mining, according to <a href="https://theminermag.com/news/2024-06-18/bitcoin-mining-house-texas-sale/">TheMinerMag</a>. 
The sale post on Zillow details several significant upgrades, including: 
- 500 kW 3 Phase Panels with digital monitors 
- Full Liquid Immersion System 
- 500 kW Dry Cooler 
- 3 Phase Pump 
- 3 Slic Tanks 
- 5 New HVAC Units 
Images of the property reveal three immersion tanks, each containing two dozen Bitcoin ASIC hashing boards, indicating the facility's robust mining capacity. The current owner, associated with a company called Crypto Collective, purchased the property in 2021 for approximately $1 million. 
The decision to sell comes less than two months after the Bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/heat-waves-and-halving-bitcoin-miners-cash-in-amid-rising-prices/">halving</a>, an event known to impact mining profitability. Listed on June 10, the sale raises questions about the owner's motivations, especially after substantial investments in upgrades. 
Local energy data shows that residential power rates in Dallas range from $0.12 to $0.18 per kWh. Using <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/manufacturers/bitmain/">Bitmain</a>’s <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/hardware/antminer-s21-200-ths/">Antminer S21</a> with an efficiency of 18.5 J/TH, the daily hash cost at an energy rate of $0.12/kWh would be around $53 per PH/s. This rate is nearly breaking even, as Bitcoin’s hash price is also approximately $53 per PH/s.
