<p>Ripple CTO David Schwartz has argued that the upcoming RLUSD stablecoin will benefit XRP rather than harm it. He explained that the evolution of DeFi has revealed the importance of stablecoins. He also pointed out that while volatile assets are useful in some scenarios, stablecoins are essential in others. Schwartz noted XRP’s privileged position on the XRP Ledger and assured that the introduction of the stablecoin ecosystem would not change this but would instead enable more use cases.</p>
