The Roaring Kitty price skyrocketed 240% in the last 24 hours to trade at <a href="https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/roaring-kitty-solana" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$0.03304</a> as of 4 a.m. EST on trading volume that surged to $18.72 million.
The KITTY price spiralled after Keith Gill, the trader known as Roaring Kitty on X, disclosed via a screen shot on Reddit that he has a massive holding in GameStop (GME) shares and options worth over $586 million. He also said he’d hold a YouTube livestream for Friday.
After his post, GME shares soared 47% and the Solana-based <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/buy-cryptocurrency/best-meme-coins" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">meme token</a> GME jumped over 143% to reach a new all-time high (ATH). KITTY is another associated coin that is riding the wave of optimism after Gill’s comeback following years of silence.
Gill is famous for his central role in the GameStop short squeeze in 2021. He sparked a frenzy in the meme coin market last month after he posted on social media for the first time in three years.
