Retired professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, has denied any involvement in promoting the Solana memecoin HULKAMANIA (HULK) on his X account. In a June 5 Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C740UNOOXm9/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">post</a>, Hogan clarified that he was not responsible for the posts and that they would be removed promptly. 
Although the posts have since been deleted, Google Search’s cache still shows several of Hogan’s X posts endorsing the Solana-based token HULK. One cached post provocatively claimed, “No one can compete with $HULK not even your mother!” seemingly referencing rapper Iggy Azalea’s memecoin, Mother Iggy (MOTHER). Another post included a <a href="https://dexscreener.com/solana/ctdtsn4ngnhkbngdaehq26n2fwpvqdnuspwsftnrwfyu" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">link</a> to the token on DEX Screener.

Additionally, Mashable reporter Matt Binder shared further posts that included a video purportedly linked to the token launch, which Binder identified as an old clip from December promoting a karaoke night. 
HULK experienced a sharp rise in its market capitalization, reaching $18.8 million on June 6 at 7:40 pm UTC, just an hour and a half after its launch. However, within 20 minutes, it plummeted to $2 million, where it has since stabilized, as per DEX Screener data. 
Crypto analytics firm Bubblemaps <a href="https://x.com/bubblemaps/status/1798809454177394794" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported</a> that five wallets collectively acquired 15% of the HULK supply on the meme token launch platform pump.fun before Hogan’s X account promoted the token. These wallets sold $200,000 out of $1.5 million in unrealized gains around June 6 at 8:00 pm UTC, according to Bubblemaps. 
The circumstances surrounding Hogan’s account activity remain unclear, including whether it was hacked and how such a breach might have occurred. Hogan’s team has not responded to requests for comment.
