However, on May 21, cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company Bitget announced the appointment of its new CEO, Gracy Chen. Chen replaced Sandra Lou as Bitget’s CEO, bringing decades of leadership experience both within and outside the Web3 world.

With 25 million users, Bitget ranks among the most popular crypto exchanges, being one of the top five futures trading platforms and top 10 spot trading platforms. With its presence in over 100 countries, the platform gives Chen a chance to challenge the male-dominated industry norms. 
Gracy Chan expressed that being the only female CEO among the top crypto exchanges is truly an honor, as it helps the company develop a broader perspective:

As she begins her new role, Chen stated that her priorities in the crypto sector would include compliance in the many regions where the company operates, promoting long-term growth in emerging markets, and supporting women-focused initiatives such as mentorship programs and networking events that empower women and youth.

Chen has launched initiatives focused on participation and diversity, such as the $10 million #Blockchain4Her project, which aims to elevate, empower, educate, and embrace female participants in the blockchain space through special training programs, workshops, and mentorship initiatives:

She also mentioned the upcoming launch of a new incubation program focused on helping female entrepreneurs showcase their innovations and secure potential <a href="https://finance.coin-turk.com/" data-wpel-link="exclude">investments</a>. Leading women such as Tess Ventures’ founder Tess Hau, Hacken’s co-founder Yevheniia Broshevan, and Morph’s CEO Cecilia Hsueh have joined the B4H Ambassador Program.
