With the recent approval of ETH ETFs, there are discussions all across the industry about who will be next in line among all the popular cryptocurrencies to get approval for ETF products. The most likely ones include SOL and XRP.&nbsp; 
The question that still remains open and will keep ETF investors engrossed in the market is Who will be the first to get approval among the two? The answer to this question will be more clear when the applicants start applying for ETFs backed by these two commodities and the SEC starts taking a stance on the matter. 
2024, being an election year, has become a year of development, approval and innovation in the crypto landscape. 
All the major crypto and ETF analysts are expecting more ETFs in the market after approval for BTC or ETH. A few days before the approval of the <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/05/23/solana-etf-could-hit-the-market-next-after-btc-eth-etfs/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ETH ETF</a>, people were not even expecting it to get approved. However, soon after its approval, crypto enthusiasts have started talking about SOL and XRP ETFs, says Nate Geraci.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-brad-garlinghouse-on-making-a-spot-xrp-etf-a-reality-strong">Brad Garlinghouse on Making a spot XRP ETF a reality</h2> 
Long ago, in February, after the approval of the BTC ETF, Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, was ready to welcome an XRP ETF. 
In an interview with Bloomberg Crypto, he was optimistic about the approval and launch of ETF products on various other digital assets, including ETH, XRP and Solana. 
He was optimistic about XRP ETFs based on the following reasons 
– Investors do not want to invest all their funds in a single instrument, they need more than one investment option among an asset class. – ETF makes the markets safer and more robust. – It will improve risk diversification. 
In his view, the development of spot ETFs for multiple digital assets will boost the overall market for spot ETFs and attract more and more traditional investors to crypto. 
<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-what-other-industry-experts-said-strong">What Other Industry Experts Said</h3> 
Valkyrie CIO Steve McClury was also optimistic about XRP ETFs, looking at the progress of Ripple, as Grayscale has listed some of the products with XRP as an underlying asset. 
The only challenge to the launch of XRP ETFs is its legal battle with the SEC. Due to the long-lasting legal battle between the SEC and Ripple, it might delay the decision on the approval of the Spot ETF. 
However, the recent changes in stance by the SEC in various matters have raised questions about SEC’s approach. 
The timeline for the approval of SOL or XRP ETFs will highly depend on the community response and the SEC’s ability and willingness to take the decision.&nbsp;
