On May 25th, Aptos processed a staggering 115.4 million transactions in a single day, eclipsing Solana’s 31.7 million transactions.

This surge in transaction volume set a new benchmark. Let’s explore more about this important milestone for Aptos.

Setting New Records in Transaction Volume

It also surpassed the previous record of over 65 million transactions held by Sui Network by more than 50%. Aptoscan, the blockchain’s monitoring tool, reported that the platform’s user TPS soared to an ATH of 32,000 on the same day.

The recent surge in transactional activity on Aptos can be largely attributed to the launch of Tapos Cat. It is a tap-to-earn game that has rapidly captured the attention of users. Within its inaugural day on the mainnet, Tapos Cat facilitated an impressive 10 million transactions.

In the game, users engage with a virtual cat, ‘tickling’ it to earn $HEART tokens. The game’s interactive nature and reward system encourage multiple transactions, contributing to the platform’s overall transactional volume. Furthermore, Tapos Cat offers a gas-fee-free experience for the first 72 hours, incentivizing players to participate without incurring any additional costs.
