<p>ETH’s price is mainly fueled by the optimism surrounding the upcoming decision of the SEC set to be revealed later today involving the approval of ETH ETFs.</p> 
<h2 id="eth-s-current-weekly-weighted-iv-exceeds-100">ETH’s current weekly weighted IV exceeds 100%</h2> 
<p>The latest reports coming from <a href="https://x.com/GreeksLive" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Greeks.live</a> also addressed ETH’s strong support for the price.</p> 
<p>In a recent post on X, the trading platform notes that while BTC pulled back as expected, ETH shows very strong support for its price.</p> 
<p>The current weekly weighted IV is still exceeding 100% compared to BTC’s current weekly IV that is only 50%.</p> 
<p>Greeks.live notes that the main reason for this “rare phenomenon” is the uncertainty of the approval of the ETH ETFs.</p> 
<p>During the past two days, there have been many mega short-term spreads and calendar spreads, showing the fact that the market is extremely divergent.</p>

<h2 id="sec-expected-to-deliver-decision-on-ethereum-etf-today">SEC expected to deliver decision on Ethereum ETF today</h2> 
<p>Later today, around 4:00 pm, <a href="https://x.com/EricBalchunas/status/1793393685750546475" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">as noted</a> by Bloomberg’s Eric Blachunas, the SEC should come up with a decision regarding the Ethereum ETF 19b-4 form submitted by VanEck.</p> 
<p>ArkInvest is due for a decision tomorrow, May 24.</p> 
<p>The US SEC has reportedly <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/sec-and-ethereum-etf-issuers-started-discussions-over-s-1-applications/">begun discussions</a> involving S-1 registration statements with prospective Ethereum ETF issuers.</p>
