<h4>This could be the biggest week ever for crypto legislation in the United States. Several major bills related to regulating cryptocurrencies and digital assets are expected to be voted on by the House of Representatives and potentially even the Senate.</h4>
<p>The most significant bills are the bipartisan FTX Cryptocurrency Platform Protection Act (FIT 21) and the Senate Amendment 121 (SA 121). FIT 21 aims to provide regulatory clarity for crypto assets, NFTs, and the broader digital asset market. SA 121 would allow banks to provide custody services for crypto assets. President Biden had previously threatened to veto SA 121, but a surprising number of Democratic senators voted in favor, potentially giving it enough support to override a veto.</p>
<p>The timing seems critical, with the crypto voter emerging as a real force that could sway tight races. Polling shows 1 in 5 voters in swing states consider crypto policy a deciding factor. This new voting bloc could pressure Biden to rethink his veto threat as the 2024 election looms. The pressure is also on Democratic leaders like Maxine Waters, who will make or break these bills and shape their party's crypto stance.</p>

<p>Another potential catalyst is the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation going into force on June 29th. If the US can pass comprehensive rules before MiCA, it could give America a strategic advantage in the digital assets space over Europe. The timing aligns with Ripple's planned issuance of a US stablecoin following their event in June.</p>
<p>With so much at stake, all eyes will be on the SEC as well to see if they approve a long-awaited Bitcoin ETF or potentially declare Ethereum a security. The outcome on ETH could have major political and market implications. Advocacy groups urge the crypto community to contact representatives to ensure these momentous bills pass.</p>
