The Crypto community on X (formerly Twitter) is abuzz with unconfirmed reports of British authorities having arrested the alleged exploiter behind $2 million Solana memecoin <a href="https://www.cryptotimes.io/2024/05/17/solana-defi-platform-pump-fun-suffers-2m-exploit/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">exploit</a> in London. 
According to unconfirmed reports, Jarett Dunn, a former Pump.fun contractor known on X as @STACCoverflow, was arrested early Saturday from Middle Eight Hotel in Covent Garden of London following a 24-hour international manhunt. 
The news of alleged arrest of Dunn was first shared on X by ‘The Rollup’ who claimed that Dunn was tracked to a hotel in London by a private security firm, which then alerted the police. Since the news of alleged arrest broke out, the crypto community on social media is abuzz with speculations about whether the news is true and what will be the future ramifications.

The alleged crypto-outlaw is accused of exploiting admin keys to siphon around $2 million from newly minted meme-coins on Pump.fun last week. The stolen tokens were airdropped at random to Solana users in a baffling money laundering attempt. The X user @staccoverflow has been posting on the site that he intends to “disrupt” the platform and is not afraid of the police. As per reports, after he was arrested, Dunn was granted bail but still faces criminal charges. 
It is pertinent to note that there has not been any official announcement by the British Police regarding any arrest of a crypto exploiter. Any new announcement in the case will be updated in this report.
