The <a href="https://news.todayq.com/sec-vs-ripple-a-crucial-battle-crypto-industry/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crucial legal battle</a> between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is witnessing back to back court fillings, dragging the industry’s interest back to the case. This also helped Ripple’s native crypto, XRP, to gain some upward momentum. However, XRP’s 24 hour trading volume blasted by 237% amid legal actions. Ripple vs SEC lawsuit timeline ahead 
In the latest actions, the US SEC filed its remedies reply brief &amp; supporting exhibits under seal. This means that these documents are not yet public. However, the publicly redacted versions are expected to be out by May 8, 2024.
The court filings suggested what could be the timeline ahead of the Ripple vs SEC case. After the commission files the reply brief under seal, May 7 will see both parties meet and confer to identify redactions. It will be sought by each side and third parties, if any, to the reply brief and exhibits.
Next comes in line is the SEC filing a public, redacted version of the reply brief and any supporting exhibits not designated by either Party or any third parties as Confidential or Highly Confidential under the Protective Order. This will be done on May 8. It will be done by making only those provisional redactions requested by the Parties and any third parties during the meet and confer. What’s after this? 
On May 13, Ripple, SEC, and any third parties will file omnibus letter motions to seal all materials relating to the remedies-related briefing. This will include briefs, declarations, and supporting exhibits. It added that the parties and any third parties also file proposed redactions to such materials.&nbsp;
May 20 seems to be a big day for the case as Ripple, SEC, and any third parties file letter briefs in opposition to omnibus letter motions to seal.
It will be done under the joint proposal, the parties would later be needed to file public, redacted versions of all documents within 14 days of the Court’s rulings on the omnibus sealing motions.
On the market side, XRP has recorded over 5% growth in the last 7 days reflecting a positive sentiment returning for Ripple. Meanwhile, it is still down by 13% from its year to date (YTD) price. XRP is trading at an average price of $0.538, at the press time. Its 24 hour trading volume jumped by a massive 237% to stand at $1.9 billion. It is holding a market cap of $29.7 billion.
