Philanthropist Businessman Warren Buffett recently raised his concern towards rising cases of misuse of deep fake artificial intelligence (AI) and compared the emerging technology with ‘nukes’. 
93-year-old Warren Buffet was speaking&nbsp;at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder meeting, where he reacted to a deepfake video of his created by AI and raised concerns that the technology is like a “nuclear weapons genie”, whose power “scares the hell out of him.” 
Buffett also drew attention to the possibility of this technology being used for large-scale financial scams. “Last year I said that we let a genie out of the bottle when we, when we developed nuclear weapons, and that Genie has been doing some terrible things lately. And the power of that genie is what, you know, scares the hell out of me. And then I don’t know any way to get the genie back in the bottle. And AI is somewhat similar,” said Buffett. 
Buffett’s comments came after he&nbsp;saw a video that replicated his voice, likeness, and mannerisms with unsettling accuracy. “Scamming has always been part of the American scene, but this would make me…send money to myself over and over in some crazy country,” Buffett warned. 
Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway has significant holdings in Apple and Microsoft, which are the one of the top companies heavily involved in generative AI. Nevertheless, the renowned value investor appears cautious about possible misuses.
