Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, introduced ‘Binius’ to the crypto community to accelerate Zero-Knowledge Proofs.
Vitalik Buterin, the mastermind behind the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain, introduced a novel binary cryptographic proving system, Binius, to the crypto community. It aims to deliver significant performance gains over traditional proof systems like SNARKs and STARKs.

In a blog post on April 29, ETH co-founder Vitalik Buterin introduced a new cryptographic proving system to attain greater efficiency for zero-knowledge proofs.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
After ETH, Buterin expects many more advancements in binary field-based proving methods. He delivered a highly efficient cryptographic system over traditional proof systems like SNARKs (Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge) and STARKs (Scalable Transparent Argument of Knowledge).

SNARKs and STARKs work with more significant numbers, such as 64-bit or 256-bit integers, and Binius, on the other hand, uses zeros and ones instead of large numbers.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
SNARKs relate to proof where an individual can provide possessions of particular information. STARKs, in contrast, relate to proof that verifies the accuracy of off-chain computations.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Binius, the new proving system can potentially enhance Zero-Knowledge Proofs’ efficiency. Embedded encoding and decoding processes to convert bit-level data into a suitable form for “polynomial” processing and Merkle proofs will increase efficiency.

“Underlying data being processed often consists of small values like counters, indices, and boolean flags, however, by operating on bits directly, Binius can process this data more efficiently,” Buterin said.
The new cryptographic proving system makes complex <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2022/07/02/shark-tank-star-says-cryptocurrencies-havent-reached-their-lowest-yet-applications-are-the-only-solutions-for-bear-market/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto applications </a>more efficient and scalable. It also allows for the confirmation of proofs without exposing the underlying information.
The concept was first discussed by cryptographers Benjamin E. Diamond and Jim Posen in 2023. Similarly, Buterin expects many more improvements and advancements in Binary-field-based proving techniques.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-ethereum-s-current-performance-strong">Ethereum’s Current Performance</h3>
At press time, ETH was trading at $2,889.10, falling by 4.25% in a day. According to CoinMarketCap, ETH’s market cap was around $352,465,860,350 and secured $19,643,351,857 in 24-hour volume.
As per the Tradingview technical chart, ETH had a support level of $2763.5 and a resistance level of $3237.2 in a one-day timeframe. If the ETH price breaks the lower threshold of $2715.7, it will reach $2415.5.&nbsp;
However, if buyers accumulate the crypto at the lower level, it may surpass the upper levels, breaking above the key moving averages.
