Chainlink has launched a new Transporter application to facilitate the movement of crypto assets and data across multiple networks.
The application <a href="https://x.com/chrisbarrett/status/1776648806844510557" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">claims</a> to be a cost-efficient solution for executing high-value token transfers across blockchains, ensuring users a secure transactional experience.

Transporter supports a wide range of <a href="https://crypto.news/market-cap/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/market-cap/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">blockchains</a>, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, and WEMIX, marking Chainlink’s entry into the burgeoning realm of blockchain bridges.
According to <a href="https://defillama.com/bridges" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://defillama.com/bridges" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DefiLlama</a> data, existing bridges facilitated the transfer of approximately $12 billion in assets across various chains up to last month. Despite the role of such <a href="https://crypto.news/learn/blockchain-bridges/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/learn/blockchain-bridges/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">bridges</a> in the digital asset economy, they have been vulnerable to exploits and hacks, underlining the need for secure solutions like Transporter.

Transporter is developed using Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (<a href="https://crypto.news/chainlink-link-cross-chain-interoperability-protocol-ccip/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/chainlink-link-cross-chain-interoperability-protocol-ccip/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">CCIP</a>), a technology foundational to Chainlink’s <a href="https://crypto.news/swift-and-chainlink-collaborate-for-banking-blockchain-integration/" target="_blank" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/swift-and-chainlink-collaborate-for-banking-blockchain-integration/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">collaboration</a> with SWIFT for international bank transfers.
According to <a href="https://blog.chain.link/transporter-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the blog</a>, the application provides worldwide support and includes a real-time visual tracker to monitor the status of transfers across different blockchains. Users are charged standard CCIP fees, which are applied to the cost of executing transactions on the target blockchain and to payments for CCIP service providers.
