In an <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/blog/ecosystem/binance-labs-invests-in-bouncebit-to--support-bitcoin-restaking-and-cedefi-innovations-1590042846148031642" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">official announcement</a>, Binance reveals that Binance Labs, its venture capital and incubation arm has invested in <a href="https://bouncebit.io/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">BounceBit</a>. 
BounceBit is a Bitcoin restaking and CeDeFi protocol that provides a fundamental layer for various restaking products. It’s secured by the regulated custody of Mainnet Digital and Ceffu. 
Binance’s move will support expanding Bitcoin’s capabilities beyond traditional storage of value. BounceBit helps transform Bitcoin from a passive asset into a more dynamic force within the ecosystem via active participation in network validation, besides various yield-generating activities.

BounceBit’s innovative framework revolves around the idea that Bitcoin empowerment should be mostly asset-driven without alterations to the Bitcoin blockchain.

BounceBit’s leadership is based on experience across DeFi, traditional finance, and Layer-1 blockchain technology. They prioritize security and transparency by using regulated custody and Multi-Party Computation (MPC).
