<p class="is-style-lead">A solo miner mined a single block of Bitcoin and earned 6.36 BTC before the impending halving.</p> 
<p>On April 5, a solo miner with an equipment hashrate of 7 PH/s keyed block #837,814 into the blockchain of the first cryptocurrency. According to Mempool, the user received a total of 6.36 BTC, the equivalent of $422,750 at the time of block mining, including a commission of 0.1 BTC.</p>

<p>CKPool pool administrator Con Kolyvas noted that the miner has been mining intermittently since the pool’s last restart and has accumulated, on average, about .05% of the shares required to solve a block.</p>

<p>In October 2023, a solo miner <a href="https://twitter.com/ckpooldev/status/1718445207396708661" target="_blank" rel="">included</a> a block in the Bitcoin network with a hardware power of 11 PH/s. The user received a reward of 6.25 BTC and a commission of 0.09 BTC. In May 2023, another person&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/ckpooldev/status/1660799764332519425" target="_blank" rel="">earned</a> $177,115 by mining a block, receiving a reward of 6.25 BTC and a commission of 0.24 BTC.</p> 
<p>At the end of March 2024, the difficulty of mining <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/bitcoin/" target="_blank" rel="">Bitcoin</a> <a href="https://crypto.news/bitcoin-mining-difficulty-drops-halving-2024/" target="_blank" rel="">decreased</a> by 0.97%, with an indicator of 83.13 T. Since the previous value change, the average hashrate for the period was 593.99 EH/s. The range between blocks is 10 minutes and 7 seconds.</p>
