The latest data shows an import of roughly 8.5 EH/s worth of miners, indicating Bitmain's aggressive preparation for the anticipated reduction in Bitcoin block rewards, according to <a href="https://theminermag.com/news/2024-04-04/bitmain-s19xp-bitcoin-miner-import/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TheMinerMag</a>.&nbsp;

After a quieter period post-October, the pre-halving excitement has led to a resurgence in imports, with March witnessing the arrival of 50,000 units from the S19XP series.
Details revealed by TheMinerMag from 15 import records over the last month show a diverse mix of S19XP models with a staggering gross weight close to 800,000 kilograms, or approximately 880 U.S. tons. This vast shipment has led to speculation about whether these imports are for customer orders or for Bitmain's own mining pursuits through its mining proxy, <a href="https://af.bitfufu.com/QRdO/cwhbatz1" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BitFuFu</a>, especially after BitFuFu's recent Nasdaq listing and substantial <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/liquidstack-secures-funding-to-boost-eco-friendly-bitcoin-mining-in-the-u-s/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">funding</a> raised to boost its growth.
Bitmain Georgia's continued import of the S19XP series and a <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-mining-reshaping-landscape-amid-global-interest-surge/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hosting</a> contract with <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-mining-giant-core-scientific-prepares-for-post-bankruptcy-comeback/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Core Scientific</a> for 4.1 EH/s of S19jXPs further point to Bitmain's intent to expand its mining capacity significantly. From July 2023 to March 2024, Bitmain Georgia's imports reached over 5 million kilograms of S19XP miners, contributing to an estimated total <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hashrate</a> of 50 EH/s.
This import pattern aligns with the rise in hashrate on the Bitmain-affiliated Antpool, though the competition with other mining pools like <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/foundry/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Foundry</a> remains fierce.
