With a current treasury boasting $66 million in cash and 806 BTC, valued at approximately $123 million, Bitfarms is leveraging its financial health to prepare for future challenges and opportunities, according to <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitfarms-bitcoin-mining-triple-hash-rate" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Cointelegraph</a>.
The upgrade involves the procurement of 88,000 highly efficient <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/russias-bitcoin-gold-rush-mining-machine-influx-outpaces-rest-of-the-world/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin miners</a>, signaling Bitfarms' commitment to optimizing performance and profitability in the face of reduced mining rewards post-halving. This includes a mix of <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/manufacturers/bitmain/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitmain</a>'s latest models, ensuring that Bitfarms remains at the forefront of mining technology. In March 2024 alone, Bitfarms reported earnings of 286 BTC, demonstrating the critical role of increasing hash rate capacity to maintain profitability in the ever-evolving Bitcoin mining sector.
Bitfarms' approach to reinvestment—selling nearly all Bitcoin mined over the past two months to fuel growth—highlights a proactive strategy to enhance its mining fleet. The upgrade is expected to not only triple Bitfarms' hash rate to 21 exahashes per second (EH/s) but also increase its operating capacity by 83% to 440 megawatts (MW) and improve fleet efficiency by 40% to 21 w/TH. This transformation positions Bitfarms to achieve industry-leading performance and profitability, setting a new standard in the crypto mining industry.
