On March 18, Lookonchain revealed that 11 deep-pocket investors credited the recipient wallets with 34 million Arbitrum (ARB) tokens valued at $58 million. Also, The Data Nerd, a market observer, revealed that Wintermute, a trading company, has consistently transferred ARB tokens to CEXes in the last two days.
Overall, Wintermute moved 10 million ARB valued at $18.12 million to exchanges and currently has 7.22 million tokens left in its treasury, estimated at $12.34 million. These weighty transactions occurred two days after Arbitrum unlocked 1.1 billion ARB tokens, an event included in its roadmap for 2024. Since the unlock, Arbitrum (ARB) has maintained a downward trajectory, with the price dropping significantly.
As the chart shows, Arbitrum (ARB) is down 22.1% from $2.08 on March 12 to $1.62 on March 18. Gauging its current trajectory, experts said to expect an additional reduction in ARB’s value. In particular, they expect Arbitrum (ARB) to lose 7.4% of its market value to $1.50 soon.

The layer-1 blockchain behind ADA Cardano added its first fiat-pegged stablecoin USDM to its list of native assets on March 17. USDM has foraged the billion-dollar stablecoin market as the newest candidate in a sector spearheaded by USDT and USDC. Unlike the subsisting stablecoins DJED and iUSD on the Cardano ADA blockchain, USDM is a fully-backed stablecoin by the United States Dollar (USD).
Matthew Plomin, a founding partner of Mehen, the firm behind USDM, reflected on the challenges encountered during launching the stablecoin. The USDM was initially scheduled for launch in March 2023 but was inhibited by the unprecedented closure of traditional finance behemoths Silicon Valley Bank, Silvergate, and Signature Bank. Despite the several other failures that preceded its launch, the USDM has finally arrived and is fully functional on the ADA-native blockchain Cardano.
Cardano (ADA) continues trending lower, notwithstanding the significance of this development, shedding 14.2% of its market value from $0.77 on March 12 to $0.66 on March 18. Seeing as no sign of reversal is lurking around the corner, experts anticipate a further drop in the price of Cardano (ADA). Expectedly, Cardano (ADA) should crash to $0.55 very soon.
