<p>El Salvador intends to transfer “a big chunk” of its bitcoin assets to an offline device and deposit them in a physical vault on the Central American country’s territory.</p> 
<p>According to Bukele’s social media account on Thursday, El Salvador’s <a href="https://www.cryptopolitan.com/bitcoin-to-hit-45k-after-market-correction/">Bitcoin</a> portfolio is worth about $407 million.</p> 
<p>A<a href="https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1768425845163503738" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"> bitcoin treasury </a>of that size puts El Salvador’s holdings much higher than previously thought. Even on Thursday, public trackers estimated the nation’s bounty at fewer than 3,000 BTC ($205 million).</p>
