In a landmark ruling for the crypto industry, a United Kingdon court announced that Craig Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. The crucial ruling in the Crypto Open Patent Alliance <a href="https://news.todayq.com/the-fake-satoshi-case-copa-vs-craig-wright/">(COPA) trial</a> comes after long running deliberations and examination of pieces of evidence. Craig Wright loses on big claim 
At the end of the intense trial, Judge James Mellor stated that he would prepare a fairly long judgment of the case. However, he reached the conclusion that Craig Wright is not the author of The Whitepaper, nor is <a href="https://news.todayq.com/not-fake-satoshi-craig-wright-lashes-out-at-expert-criticism/">Satoshi Nakamoto</a>. He added that Wright is not the creator of Bitcoin and he did not author the Bitcoin software. 
The judge mentioned that the evidence against Wright was “overwhelming.” 
Meanwhile, Wright’s legal team, led by Lord Anthony Grabiner argued with the comments on the Quill notepad. However, way back machine shows the pad was available to purchase as early as July 2009. Wright’s assertion regarding the pad is that the COPA’s case is based on hearsay evidence. 
He added that COPA says the print proof was only available after November 2009. Later he argued that the authority says that Quill pad was not available until 2012. The courtroom drama 
Grabiner mentioned that this is the final point in the closing and he assumes that Craig Wright is losing the case. He cleverly asked the judge to think on the COPA’s assertion that CSW did not author the Bitcoin whitepaper, he has no copyright over Bitcoin and COPA is free to use Bitcoin and the whitepaper. 
He then urged the judge that the court should not make these declarations as the COPA is not Satoshi and it does not have any interest in that. 
However, the judge stated that it was too late to make this point in closing arguments. He added that Craig Wright could have used point to strike out the action at the beginning. 
Judge James Mellor in a comment said that if the defence team is asking to declare CSW is Satoshi. 
In the reply, Anthony Grabine mentioned that the COPA seeks to prevent CSW from claiming to have authored the Bitcoin whitepaper. He added that this is part of his identity and he should be free to say he is Satoshi. 
The judge concluded that Craig Wright is not Satoshi. 
However, it remains a mystery what is the real identity of the Bitcoin creator while BTC goes on to make new all time highs.
