<p>Bitcoin has once again surprised markets, surging past the $61,000 level. This comes on the back of several positive developments, including increasing institutional adoption through Bitcoin ETFs. Over $6 billion has now flowed into spot Bitcoin ETFs, which have accumulated over 300,000 BTC.</p>
<p>The overall cryptocurrency market cap has now breached $1.1 trillion. Bitcoin's price rise seems to be driven by a relentless stream of investments from institutions, which are now even recommending 1-3% crypto allocations in portfolios. Mainstream names like Paul Tudor Jones and Stan Druckenmiller have led the push.</p>

<p>The parabolic rise has left some warning that the bull cycle may be overextended. However, analysts predict Bitcoin could reach $200,000 in the next 18 months following its upcoming "halving" event. The crucial question is whether the current momentum is sustainable or if a "dot-com-esque" crash is inevitable.</p>
<p>Much depends on the future of artificial intelligence and its mass adoption. Nvidia, the hardware infrastructure behind AI, has seen astronomical growth similar to Cisco during the internet boom. A key difference is AI applications are still in their infancy. If technology and profits progress, associated compute demands could benefit crypto networks.</p>
<p>In summary, Bitcoin is in uncharted territory ahead of its halving. Key forces driving this include institutional inflows, AI growth prospects, and mounting mainstream acceptance. It remains to be seen whether the rally has overheated – or if Bitcoin has only begun its next vertical ascent.</p>
