The Empire State Building has linked up with Web3 Customer Loyalty infrastructure platform Uptop and the Wallet-as-a-Service provider Magic to launch the Ambassador Program for fans and NYC locals.
The program offers visitors complimentary experiences and digital collectibles that can be unlocked for various benefits. Uptop and Magic will disseminate exclusive NFTs to Magic wallets, which repeat fans can use to unlock personalised benefits.
This announcement comes on the heels of the New York-based 102-story Art Deco skyscraper’s second consecutive award for being Tripadvisor’s 2023 Travelers’ Choice “Best of the Best,” attraction in the US.
The program is offered through the Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT), which through its collaboration with Uptop and Magic simplifies the the integration of innovative wallet solutions into its technology stack, thus enabling easy access to Web3 rewards for visitors irrespective of their prior knowledge of blockchain technology.
Commenting on the announcement, Ross Basri of Uptop said: “Selecting a partner with expertise in wallet technology was crucial to deliver an enterprise-scale solution for a large, publicly traded company. Magic’s proven track record in delivering user-friendly and secure experiences made them the obvious choice.”
Dylan Hattem of Magic commented: “As New Yorkers, the chance to commemorate the Empire State Building experience with <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/what-is-an-nft/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NFTs</a> which provide a blend of tradition and digital innovation was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”
According to the program website, there are five different types of collectible artwork, including, The Ambassador, the Bronze Ambassador – attained after earning 440 points, Silver -880 points, Gold -1,320 points, and Platinum -1,760 points, all featuring an image of the Empire State Building.
The program debuted on February 13, 2024, and has invited people to sign up at ambassador.esbnyc.com.
