South Korean mobile and online games publisher Com2uS has announced a collaboration with Oasys Network to launch <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/what-is-a-blockchain-game/">Web3 games</a> on the Oasys chain. The company is using the Japan-based Oasys Gaming Network as part of its strategy of expanding to the Japanese market. 
According to the announcement, Oasys will use its “globally recognised IP” to launch two Web3 games in the country within the first half of 2024. Oasys’ core team will provide technical support to Com2uS’s Web3 subsidiary XPLA in its efforts to establish a layer-2 network in compliance with Japanese regulations. 
Commenting on the <a href="https://www.theblock.co/post/277103/com2us-partners-oasys-blockchain-for-japan-expansion" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announcement</a>, XPLA Team Lead Paul Kim said “In partnership with Oasys, XPLA will make a significant move into the world’s third-largest gaming market, Japan.” 
This is not Com2uS’ first foray into the world of Web3. In August 2022, the company teamed up with Firefly Games and The Sandbox to form <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/firefly-games-partners-with-the-sandbox-and-com2us-to-form-metaworld-entertainment/">MetaWorld Entertainment</a>, a metaverse-based platform for concert events and immersive Web3 gaming experiences. 
Later in the year, the company invested in Web3 licensing protocol <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/com2us-invests-in-web3-licensing-protocol-spaceport/">Spaceport’s $3.6 million</a> pre-seed round. 
The latest collaboration will see Com2uS onboard its popular gaming titles Summoners War: Chronicle and The Walking Dead: All Stars onto the Oasys gaming network, joining other major video game publishers like SoftBank, Sega, and Ubisoft who have worked with the network. 
For Oasys, the announcement comes hot on the heels of announcing its <a href="https://www.nftgators.com/oasys-expands-games-and-dapps-exposure-with-dappradar-integration/">collaboration with NFT platform X2Y2</a>, as part of its strategy of adding more experiences to its gaming network. Earlier in 2024, the company also expanded its games and dApps exposure after integrating with DappRadar.
