 <p class="paragraph">As the cryptocurrency industry continues to grow, many popular individuals are jumping on the bandwagon, including social media personality and former professional kickboxer Andrew Tate, who might be planning to go a step further – launching his own cryptocurrency.</p>
 <p class="paragraph">Specifically, Tate recently posted on social media platform X that he would <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="launch" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/launch.html">launch</a> his own coin, back it with $100 million of his own money, and never sell, as well as that he would let the members of his Hustler’s University get in early at a discount, but he deleted the post not long after.</p>
 <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-backtracking-on-his-statements">Backtracking on his statements</h2>
 <p class="paragraph">However, his original announcement did not go under the radar for many, including Stephen Findeisen, a.k.a. <em>Coffeezilla</em> – a popular YouTuber who investigates online scams, as well as fantasy book author and <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a> influencer Daniel Borovik, a.k.a. <em>3orovik</em>.</p>

 <p class="paragraph">As <em>Coffeezilla </em>pointed out, referring to Tate’s possible <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a>currency as a “<a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a> scamcoin,” the controversial influencer seems to have backtracked on his earlier statements denying any connection with any specific <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a> project and that he did “not have anything to do with any <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a>” from May 2023.</p>

 <p class="paragraph">Meanwhile, replying to Tate’s now-deleted X post, crypto commenter <em>KashKysh </em>criticized the possibility of him launching his own cryptocurrency, arguing that the influencer was not kind to the crypto community during the bear market and that he was only doing this now because of greed.</p>
 <p class="paragraph">Indeed, back in September 2023, he derisively labeled anyone investing in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a “loser” who lacks judgment concerning financial decisions, as well as expressing skepticism regarding the long-term survival of the crypto market, arguing that “your internet scam coins will soon go to 0.”</p>
 <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-crypto-enthusiast-no-more">Crypto enthusiast no more?</h2>
 <p class="paragraph">Regardless, it seems that Tate earlier held different views of crypto, considering that the Romanian prosecutors had last year seized 21 Bitcoin (BTC) from him during the investigation of the popular influencer over accusations of rape, human trafficking, and organized crime in that country.</p>
 <p class="paragraph">Moreover, as Finbold reported in December 2022, Tate appeared on Anthony Pompliano’s podcast, where he touted Bitcoin as removing the disadvantages of fiat transactions, declaring he was “going fully crazy mister blockchain now” and boasting of turning “600 grand to $12 million.”</p>
 <p class="paragraph">In the meantime, the influencer has urged his followers to join his newsletter and retweet, without offering any explanation, only that they would “find out” what it is all about, sparking speculation that this could be his preferred method to deliver the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a> <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="launch" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/launch.html">launch</a> news.</p>
