<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This comes as investment bank TD Cowen said approval of a spot Ethereum ETF in the US may not happen until </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">late 2025 or early 2026.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p>“We believe there is no upside for SEC Chair Gary Gensler to approve a spot Ethereum ETF given how upset progressive Democrats were over the agency’s approval of a spot bitcoin ETF earlier this month, ” said TD Cowen Washington Research Group analysts led by Jaret Seiberg in a Jan. 29 note. “This is a political call.”</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Ethereum price indicates a rebound from the lower boundary of the falling wedge pattern at $2175, which signals a bullish trend reversal and surge above the upper boundary of the wedge, which coincides with the 50 Simple Moving Average (SMA).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 200 SMA, however, still poses a challenge for the bulls, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows a rebound from the 30 oversold region, surging to the 50 midline level at 60, indicating intense buying pressure.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A bullish trend continuation could see the RSI enter the overbought threshold of 70.</span></p>
