<p>Hong Kong lawmaker Johnny Ng has urged his government to take a leadership role in the cryptocurrency industry by promoting innovation and implementing policies that foster growth. His call comes after the SEC approved a spot Bitcoin ETF, which Ng believes will attract more traditional investors and funds to the virtual asset field. Ng suggested that Hong Kong should expedite the implementation of spot ETFs, as the Securities Regulatory Commission has previously expressed its readiness to accept applications for such products. He also highlighted the importance of popular education on virtual assets to enhance citizens’ awareness of these products and reduce criminal activity.</p>
