 <p>James Butterfill, Head of Research at CoinShares, reported that Bitcoin (BTC) dominated this surge, representing 86% with over $1.9 billion in inflows, followed by Solana’s (SOL) at $167 million. However, multi-asset and BNB exchange-traded products (ETP) defied the trend, experiencing net outflows of $18 million and $1 million, respectively.</p>

 <p>Comparing the data to the previous year, 2023 exhibited increased inflows. In 2022, Bitcoin funds attracted $388 million, constituting 47.5% of the $816 million total, followed by multi-asset with $272 million, while Binance faced an outflow of $24 million.</p>

ETPs function as <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="investment" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/investment.html">investment</a> funds designed to track the price of specific assets, with <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a> ETPs commonly mirroring major <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a>currencies like Bitcoin or Ether.</p>
 <p>Investors opting for exposure to <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="crypto" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/crypto.html">crypto</a> prices through funds rather than direct asset ownership can conveniently store shares in a traditional brokerage account. On Jan. 2, the price of Bitcoin surged past $45,000, reaching a two-year high.</p>
