The Avalanche Foundation has introduced the Culture Catalyst program, a strategic initiative to support creators and boost blockchain adoption in response to the evolving landscape of blockchain-enabled creativity. As part of this initiative, the foundation plans to utilize $100 million from its NFT incubator fund to acquire select meme coins on the Avalanche Network, aiming to foster innovation and growth within the blockchain ecosystem. Encouraged by internet culture and humor, meme coins outperform traditional utility assets, signifying diverse crypto communities’ collective spirit and shared interests. The Avalanche Foundation has announced plans to utilize Culture Catalyst to acknowledge and promote culture and entertainment through meme coins. The foundation intends to build a curated collection by purchasing select Avalanche-based meme coins, expanding its portfolio to add a broader spectrum of possibilities within the crypto ecosystem.&nbsp; 
The selection process for this unique collection is grounded in key criteria, including the number of holders, liquidity thresholds, project maturity, adherence to fair launch principles, and overall social sentiment, among other factors. 
This move is part of the Avalanche Foundation’s ongoing commitment to engagement across the Avalanche ecosystem, which includes notable sectors such as NFTs, Real World Assets (RWAs), DeFi tokens, stablecoins, and governance coins. By embarking on meme coins, the foundation aims to demonstrate its adaptability and inclusivity as a participant in the rapidly evolving Web3 space. 
However, as reported by Todayq News on December 20, 2023, an Avalanche-based meme coin that has gained significant attention on the <a href="https://news.todayq.com/coq-token-turned-this-trader-into-a-millionaire/">Avalanche Network is Coqinu </a>(COQ). Despite its quirky nature—COQ being a hen-themed token—in the last 30 days, it has shown an upside movement of over 800%.
