<a href="https://ambcrypto.com/search/avalanche" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" data-wpel-link="internal">Avalanche [AVAX]</a> recently achieved record-breaking numbers in monthly active users and validators on its network. In a <a href="https://twitter.com/avax/status/1739707734902141340?t=fp7_Ks2twH9BYevWBltd1Q&amp;s=19" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" data-wpel-link="external">post</a> dated the 26th of December, the network revealed that the number of validators reached around 1,708. 
This marked the highest number ever recorded on the network. 
As of this writing, the <a href="https://subnets.avax.network/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" data-wpel-link="external">explorer</a> showed around 1,704 validators. This slightly decreased from the all-time high (ATH) but is still among the network’s highest figures.

The post also highlighted that December saw the highest number of monthly active users in the network’s history. According to the chart, the monthly active users were over 1.3 million.
<h4>Breaking down Avalanche’s active addresses</h4>
According to an analysis, December saw a positive trend in the active addresses on <a href="https://ambcrypto.com/is-inscriptions-behind-avalanches-rising-network/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" data-wpel-link="internal">Avalanche</a>. The chart showed that the network experienced its highest number of Daily Active Addresses in nearly six months in December. 
The count rose to almost 250,000 on the 20th of December, but the number has since reduced. As of this writing, the number of Active Addresses was around 144,000.
Notably, the highest count of daily Active Addresses for the entire year was recorded on the 25th of June, with over 1 million addresses.
<h4>Avalanche continues to see high dev activity</h4>
Despite fluctuations, another metric showing a positive trend was Avalanche’s Development Activity. AMBCrypto’s analysis, via Santiment, showed that the Development Activity increased from about 60 to over 100 from around July. 
The chart showed a rise on the 26th of December, reaching over 211. While there has been a subsequent decline, the Development Activity remained above 120 as of this writing.

<h4>AVAX: Tracing the price trend</h4>
AMBCrypto’s analysis of the daily timeframe chart showed a positive trend for <a href="https://ambcrypto.com/avalanche-is-avax-more-profitable-than-btc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" data-wpel-link="internal">AVAX</a> in December. Between the 1st of December to press time, the value of AVAX had more than doubled.

Despite experiencing significant declines, AVAX has held within the $40 price range. Also, its price trend remained above its short-moving average (yellow line), while the yellow line has remained above its long-moving average (blue line). 
As of this writing, AVAX was trading at around $43, showing a slight decline of over 2%.
