Cryptoslate’s Lead Analyst James Van Straten sparked debates in the cryptocurrency world with his latest share from his personal X account. Straten announced that he expects <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/bitcoins-future-and-the-analysis-of-shiba-xrp-and-dogecoin/" data-wpel-link="internal">Bitcoin</a> (BTC) to rise to an extremely high level of $500,000.

While analyzing the high gains from the 2015-2018 and 2018-2022 cycles, he highlighted Bitcoin’s current momentum. Van Straten pointed out that there was an 11,000 percent rise from bottom to top in the 2015-2018 cycle, and a 2,000 percent rise in the 2018-2022 cycle, suggesting that the diminishing return trend between cycles could be broken with the expected green light for a spot ETF in the US. 
This observation indicates that Bitcoin’s performance in the current market cycle is defying historical patterns and plays a fundamental role in Van Straten’s expectation for Bitcoin to reach $500,000. At current prices, this target price level represents a massive 940 percent increase for the largest cryptocurrency.

Van Straten, in another recent share, made a bold prediction regarding Bitcoin’s market value. The analyst stated, “My prediction is that Bitcoin will either reduce the market value of gold or come very close to the market value of gold by the fourth quarter of 2025. This would mean an increase of about 4,000 percent from the bottom.”
