Alephium is designed to solve the challenges like scalability, accessibility, and security that are most often faced by dApps. It works on Proof of Less Work (PoLW) which is less energy consuming. This mechanism combines physical work and coin economics to dynamically adjust the work required to mine new blocks.
The platform offers a unique sharding algorithm that supports cross-shard transactions natively without using locks. With this new technology, the transactions are committed parallel to the network. This increases the speed around &gt;10K TPS with low transaction fees.
The developers can build scalable blockchain applications as the platform decomposes smart contracts into token protocol and data protocol. They believe that PoLW is the most robust and decentralized way to build a scalable blockchain.

It proposes a stateful UTXO model that offers layer-1 scalability and has the same level of programmability as Ethereum making it secure.

Alephium is built on a sharding algorithm called BlockFlow. The UTXO model of BTC makes it scalable and uses a DAG data structure to reach consensus between different shards. This increases the transaction per second (TPS) to 10,000.
3. POLW reduces energy consumption
Proof of Less Work combines physical work and coin economics to dynamically adjust the work required to mine new blocks. This makes Alephium use only ⅛ of energy compared to Bitcoin.
4. It uses Ralph for dApps
It uses its programming language Ralph which is similar to Rust syntax. This facilitates efficient and secure smart contracts.
5. P2P Smart contract transactions
It resolves critical issues of the current dApps platforms with huge improvements in security due to trustless P2P smart contracts transactions.

The tokenomics shows that 80M tokens which means 8% of tokens are for pre-sale and future strategic private sales. The vesting period varies from 2 to 4 years. For community and ecosystem development there are 30 Million (3%) tokens. They are locked on-chain for 4 years and vested quarterly.
For treasury and team, 30 Million (3%) tokens are locked on-chain for 3 years and vested quarterly. 860 Million tokens (86%) are for mining rewards. These tokens will be used for mining rewards over the next 80 years.
The total supply of the token is calculated as: Total supply=circulating supply+reserved supply+locked ALPH.
The market cap of the token is $50,137,529. The circulating market supply is 60,536,122 ALPH. total supply of the token is 189,025,271 ALPH. It has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 ALPH. The fully diluted market cap is $828,255,690
<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-what-does-the-roadmap-of-alephium-alph-reveal-strong">What does the Roadmap of Alephium (ALPH) Reveal?</h3>
The roadmap shows that they implemented launch the test net in December 2020, and smart contract support and desktop wallet and explorer public were released in 2021.&nbsp;
The process of mainnet launch was also completed in 2021. NFT prototype alpha was released in the fourth quarter of 2022. DEX prototype released in March 2023. Lemon network upgrade on mainnet which includes Schnorr signatures and cross-chain interoperability, improved nodes APIs, and SDK is also done in March 2023.
Alephium facilitates building its <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/12/14/icon-network-enables-trustless-interoperable-smart-contracts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">smart contracts</a>, decentralized apps, and protocols. The user can receive rewards by applying for a grant to develop the project.&nbsp;
Receiving rewards for contributing to any initiatives brings value to the project. Another way to earn rewards is by starting mining and contributing to network security.

Alephium’s scalable and sharded qualities make it different from other blockchains. It is built on a sharding algorithm called BlockFlow. It improves the UTXO model of BRC to make it scalable and uses the DAG data structure to reach consensus between different shards.
It is also energy efficient. The platform employs Proof of Less Work which on the same network conditions combines the physical work and coin economics to adjust the needed work to mine new blocks. Thus, it uses 90% less energy compared to Bitcoin.
It is programmable and secure. Alephium offers the UTXO model offering layer-1 scalability and the same level of programmability. This is the account model used on ETH which is more secure. It uses a virtual machine and programming language.&nbsp;

Alephium has a team of 14 members amongst which 9 are tech team members and the remaining 5 are operational team. @Cheng Wang#1571 is the founder of Alephium. He is a PhD dropout in Math and CS. @s0ukie#8277 is the Chief of Staff.
