<p>As we approach the end of the year, a leader from Ripple shared his predictions for the cryptocurrency world in 2024. Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty offered three ambitious perspectives on policy and US crypto regulation for the year ahead.</p>

</ol>
<p>Alderoty predicts that within 2024, the last remnants of the SEC's misguided lawsuit against Ripple will finally be resolved. However, he warns that the SEC's regulatory campaign through enforcement will continue against other industry leaders.</p>

 <li><h2 id="judges-the-last-line-of-defense-against-sec-excessive-power">Judges: The Last Line of Defense Against SEC Excessive Power</h2></li>
</ol>
<p>Alderoty also predicts that judges will continue to serve as the last line of defense against SEC overreach. As the SEC continues to lose important cases in the courts, Alderoty suggests this could set the stage for a showdown at the Supreme Court.</p>

<p>Finally, Alderoty predicts that Congress will agree in principle on crypto regulation, but disagreements over the best course of action will leave U.S. crypto firms in limbo. In the meantime, he expects the rest of the world to take significant positive steps in this area.</p>
