The crypto community is abuzz with a recent controversy surrounding Ocean mining pool, accused of censoring Bitcoin transactions by Samourai Wallet, a BTC wallet provider. The issue centers on Whirlpool CoinJoin and BIP47 notification transactions, allegedly excluded by Ocean since Dec. 6. However, Ocean's top executive has firmly denied these allegations, attributing the issue to a bug in Samourai Wallet's software, according to <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/ocean-mining-pool-censor-bitcoin-transactions">Cointelegraph</a>. 
On Dec. 7, Samourai Wallet accused Ocean of enacting a policy to censor Bitcoin transactions. The allegations also implicated Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Block and investor in Ocean, suggesting a hostile intent. The wallet provider specifically pointed to changes in the OP_RETURN function limit, from 80 to 46 bytes, implemented in Bitcoin Core version 0.12, as a method of exclusion. 
Luke Dashjr, Bitcoin Core developer and founder of Ocean, refuted these claims, indicating that the issue lies within Samourai Wallet's software, not Ocean's policies. Dashjr's response prompted divided opinions in the crypto community, with some backing Samourai Wallet's stance and others urging them to rectify the alleged software bug. 
&nbsp;This debate has sparked a broader discussion on transaction censorship and privacy within the Bitcoin network. Community members, including former ASIC and iOS developers, and Brad Mills from Nostr Wallet, have weighed in, questioning the intention behind Ocean's policies and the technical details of the controversy.&nbsp; 
The situation remains unresolved, with Samourai Wallet continuing to accuse Dashjr and Ocean of deception. The community's response reflects the ongoing tensions and complexities surrounding Bitcoin transaction privacy and the role of mining pools in the network's ecosystem.
