A crypto donation campaign, set out with the mission of improving the lives of children worldwide, has collected over $7.6 million in donations to date, half of which has been donated in Ethereum. The HODL Hope Campaign, conducted by the Save the Children foundation, is only $2.4 million short of its $10 million goal planned to be reached by the end of 2023.

Ethereum represents 50% of the $7.6 million fund collected in crypto donations at the time the article was written, which means $3.83 million was donated in Ethereum. <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/bitcoins-market-value-expected-to-quadruple-by-2025-according-to-bernstein-research/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> donations accounted for 34% of the donated crypto assets, totaling just over $2.6 million.
USD Coin, a US dollar-backed stablecoin launched by Circle, became the third most preferred crypto asset in the campaign started by the crypto community to help children. USDC donations amounted to $520,000, which represents 7% of the assets considered in the campaign.

In the campaign process, 2% of the donations were made in US dollars, followed by major altcoin projects such as Bitcoin Cash, Tezos, ThunderCore, Tether, Litecoin, and Solana.

Own The Doge (DOG) and PleasrDAO communities are currently at the top of the donor leaderboard, contributing over $1 million with 291.16 Ethereum. During this process, donors can participate in the campaign anonymously and may choose not to appear on the leaderboard.

As can be seen on the list, anonymous donors account for $3.9 million of the total campaign donations, drawing attention. The ease of cross-border movement of funds during the campaign allows for greater participation in donation activities for global purposes. Recently, the humanitarian aid and community services charity Singapore Red Cross announced that it has started accepting crypto donations.
In collaboration with Triple-A, the Singapore Red Cross has started accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and USDC assets. Secretary General and CEO of the Singapore Red Cross, Benjamin William, made the following statement regarding the matter:
“We are opening our doors to a new segment of donors who are tech-savvy and want to make a difference through crypto assets.”
