As it is known, Binance and its CEO CZ admitted to the charges of preventing money laundering and violating US sanctions within the scope of the agreement they made with the US government.
Binance signed one of the largest corporate agreements in US history and agreed to pay $4.3 billion within the scope of this agreement. As part of the agreement, CZ will resign as Binance CEO and pay a fine of $50 million.
While the Binance-USA agreement and CZ's resignation continue to be discussed, new statements came from Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong.
Speaking to CNBC, Brian Armstrong stated that the Binance-USA agreement will enable the cryptocurrency industry to open a new page.
Stating that more regulatory clarity will be provided after Binance makes an agreement with the US government, Coinbase CEO said that this clarity will attract more investment “especially from institutions” in the Bitcoin and crypto industry.
