<p>The crypto prices today were in the red, as the investors seem to be closing their positions on the major cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, the decline in the market started on November 16, after news broke out that <a href="https://coingape.com/blackrock-files-for-spot-ethereum-etf-eth-price-to-rally/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BlackRock officially filed for Ethereum ETF</a> with the SEC.</p>
<p>Although the news should have bolstered gains in the market, the situation was somewhat different following the news. The investors seem to have predicted a correction in the market, which triggered a <a href="https://coingape.com/crypto-market-selloff-heres-why-btc-eth-xrp-sol-fell-after-blackrock-ether-etf-news/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">sell-off in the digital asset space</a>, as evidenced by the price performance of the cryptos.</p>
<p>Talking about the crypto prices, <a href="https://coingape.com/price/bitcoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin price</a> slumped 2.66% to $36,422.03 during writing on November 17, while its trading volume over the last 24 hours fell 9.21% to $25.59 billion. However, despite the recent declines, the price of the largest crypto by market cap was up over 29% over the last 30 days.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the <a href="https://coingape.com/price/ethereum/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum price</a> has witnessed a slump of 3.36% to trade at $1,984.11, while its volume over the last 24 hours jumped 12.06% to $14.39 billion. Simultaneously, the <a href="https://coingape.com/price/bnb/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BNB price</a> slipped 3.18% to $244.22 during writing, with its trading volume soaring 1.91% to $937.04 million.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://coingape.com/price/xrp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP price</a> was also down 4.80% to $0.6206 during writing, and its volume added 21.19% to $1.75 billion over the last 24 hours. In addition, the <a href="https://coingape.com/price/solana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana price</a> plummeted 10.48% to $58.62, with its trading volume remaining flat at around $4 billion.</p>
<p>However, the situation was somewhat different for the meme coin, Dogecoin. The <a href="https://coingape.com/price/dogecoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Dogecoin price</a> has added 6.48% during the writing and traded at $0.08161, while its trading volume rocketed 224.27% to $1.73 billion. In contrast, the <a href="https://coingape.com/price/shiba-inu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Shiba Inu price</a> was down 1.61% to $0.000008615, while its volume rose 67.44% to $278.26 million.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the losses in the major crypto prices today have wiped off gains from the broader market on Friday. As of writing, the global <a href="https://coingape.com/glossary/cryptocurrency/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrency</a> market cap was down 2.48% to $1.39 trillion, and its overall market volume was up 3.25% over the last 24 hours to $71.17 billion. Notably, the fear and greed index was at 71, indicating a greed sentiment hovering around the market.</p>
