Researchers at the University of Chicago have unveiled a new tool that offers artists the ability to make changes in their digital art and poison their digital art to avert developers from educating AI tools on their work. The tool was created under the supervision of Ben Zhao, a professor at the university. NightShade is a tool that optimizes data poisoning attacks and mainly encounters some particular prompts used to train AI models.&nbsp;
The tool corrupts the data fed into the image generator and disables the model’s ability to create art based on particular prompts. One of the key features of the new model is attacking the specific prompts instead of attacking the entire model which doesn’t compromise with the image quality.
