In a significant development, the iShares Ethereum Trust has been registered in Delaware. This move sparked speculation about BlackRock's potential plans to file for an Ethereum spot ETF. 
This speculation is actually based on an example. BlackRock had similarly registered an iShares Bitcoin Trust just 7 days before applying for a Bitcoin Spot ETF. Then, 7 days later, they applied for a Bitcoin Spot ETF with the SEC. 
Given these developments, it is possible that we may be on the verge of BlackRock offering an Ethereum ETF. If this happens, it could be a major turning point in the integration of cryptocurrency into mainstream finance. 
However, it's important to note that this is still speculation at this point. Registration of the iShares Ethereum Trust does not guarantee that an Ethereum ETF is imminent. It will be interesting to see how this situation develops in the coming days and weeks. 
Bloomberg ETF expert Eric Balchunas said that BlackRock has taken the first step to apply for an Ethereum spot ETF.
